A "panther" at PEK/AmeA

We don't want to say much.
Just a BIG thank you is enough...

We are talking about the website www.comeback.gr, the freshest proposal on Greece's web scene, which hosts an article about our first spot.

We're most than thankful and we hope to have them always by our side!

Enjoy the mini tribute :

Article's free translation :

A “panther” at PEK/AmeA

We saw it, we liked it and… that’s what we’ve discovered!
Pink Panther, perhaps the most well known “cat” of the TV, with millions of fans around the world,  is coming back to rock the web! But he is not alone.
Along with the, inventive, “PekAmeA Productions” team, who intrigued us from their first spot, are marching towards the solution of this summer’s… mystery!
We found “PekAmeA Productions” leaders, Mrs Anna-Aggeliki Zioga and Mrs Souaila Jaghnoon-Kotaki, but we couldn’t get any information, since they claimed that a new set of clues will come to light soon.
They revealed us, though, that the next spot will be, possibly, released on the  21st of May, and will contain more information for the upcoming event that PEK/AmeA  is planning.
Until then, you can watch the admittedly original video, because … there’s something “on” on June at Piraeus…

A... "SMILEY" weekend!

The previous weekend (5-6 May 2012), at Olympiacos Football Club, at Marina Zeas, the Photography Exhibition "ONE PHOTO-CLICK FOR PIRAEUS" was held, organized by the Counseling Center "Syn-ergazomai" (www.synergazomai.gr).
This original exhibition highlighted the city we all love, the city of Piraeus, through the citizens's perspective, who captured different views of Piraeus.

The event's coordinator, Mrs Flora Pantelidi (on the right of PEK/AmeA's banner), surrounded by PEK/AmeA's team and representers of the volunteering Team "Pire-A-ctive", who also paricipated in the Exhibition.

PEK/AmeA participated in the Exhibition with the original event "SMILE!".
From us, a big thank you to all who visited the Exhibition, got informed for PEK/AmeA's work and actions and SMILED for our Trainees, supporting our effort.

First One-day Conference of Informing & Social Awareness on Disability

PEK/AmeA's "First One-day Conference of Informing & Social Awareness on Disability", constituted a turning point, in terms of activities, during the longterm  operation of the Centre. It was a stepping stone for further action, regarding our main objective, which is no other than the Socialization and the Smooth Intergration of Adults with Mental Disabilities, in the society.

We already dreaming of our Second One-day Conference!
We hope to find supporters and renew our date ... for December 2012!

We gathered some of the highlights of the day, which took place in the 2nd of December 2010 in "Apollon" Multiplex...

Workshop : In parallel with the One-day Conference, in a nearby hall, students from Primary, Secondary and High Schools co-operated with our Centre's trainees, creating unique constructions-collages. The creations were pined-up in the space where the event took place.

First part : The lecturers gave a speech on their beliefs about Disabillity, driven by the 3rd of December (International Day of Disability). The panel included representatives of : POSGAmeA, NCDP, the Association of Blind People, the Community of Deaf People and also a lecturer with physical disabilities.

Second Part :  The "diversity" through the eyes of students from Secondary Schools and High Schools. The students read their own essays...

Third Part The scientific staff of PEK/AmeA presented the work of the Centre
(activities, programs etc).
